Depart New York, boarding an overnight flight to Tel-Aviv. Dinner and breakfast will be served on board.


Upon arrival at the Tel Aviv airport, we transfer to our hotel in the Galilee for dinner and overnight. Already we begin to feel the spirit of this land enchanting us, as we will be visiting sites from the Bible and share the experience of walking in the footsteps of Jesus. (D)


Today we begin our first day in the beautiful Galilee area with a breathtaking boat ride across the Sea of Galilee followed by a view of an ancient boat, which dates back to the time of Jesus. Continue to the holy sites where the ministry of Jesus flourished Mt Beatitudes, Capernaum and Tabgha where the miracle of the multiplication and the feeding of the 5,000 took place. We cap this thrilling day by ascending the beautiful Golan Heights for a panoramic view of the Sea of Galilee from the Mitzpe Shalom observation deck. Overnight in Tiberias area. (B,D)


We begin our day traveling to Cana of Galilee and the lovely church built to commemorate Jesus' first miracle when he turned water into wine. Many use this as an opportunity to renew their wedding vows. We continue our journey to Nazareth where Jesus grew up. After a short visit we continue to the historic ruins of King Herod's Caesarea. We sit in the theater where Paul defended himself, see the great hippodrome, the first century aqueduct, the remains of the harbor and see the first non Biblical inscription to mention Pontius Pilate. Our next stop will be Tel Megiddo, the most famous archeological excavation in the Holy Land, also known as Armageddon. On to the famous Mount Carmel where Elijah challenged the false prophets of Baal. Overnight in Tiberias. (B,D)


An early start in the morning brings us to Yardenit, a convenient baptismal site on the banks of the Jordan River. Some groups pause for baptism here. Optional. We then continue south paralleling the Jordan River. Bypassing Jericho, we start our ascent to Jerusalem, the City of Gold, on the modern Jericho road remembering the story of the good Samaritan. Also the route of the funeral procession of Herod the Great, and the way Ruth and Naomi travelled back from Jordan to Bethlehem. Our first stunning view of Jerusalem is from the top of the Mt. of Olives. From here we'll go down to the Garden of Gethsemane and cross the Kidron Valley to Mt. Zion. We'll visit the traditional room commemorating the Last supper before traveling south to Bethlehem where we visit the birthplace of Jesus inside the Church of Nativity and have time for shopping before returning to our hotel. Overnight in Jerusalem. (B,D)


Following breakfast we head southeast to The Dead Sea,1300' below sea level into the Jordan Valley, the lowest place on earth. We explore the ancient Essene community of Qumran where the famous Dead Sea scrolls were discovered, and continue on to the magnificent ruins of Masada. A modern cable car speeds us to the top of this magnificent site. Our day ends with the opportunity to float in the Dead Sea, a very unique experience. We return to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight. (B,D)


Today we enjoy a full day tour of the Old City of Jerusalem. We start at the church of St. Anne built near the Pool of Bethesda where Jesus told the lame man to “pick up his bed and walk”. This beautiful church offers a wonderful singing experience. On to the Via Dolorosa (traditional way of the cross) and the colorful bazaar area for lunch and shopping opportunity. Following lunch we tour the Jewish Quarter and visit the Davidson Center and the Wailing Wall. Our tour will culminate with a worship service at the Garden Tomb. Dinner and Overnight in Jerusalem. We depart early into the Jordan valley to the Sheik Hussein Bridge and cross into Jordan. Drive to the ancient city of Jerash, known as the Pompeii of the East. We will have time to walk around the ancient ruins from the time of Jesus which includes churches dating back to the 4th century AD. As we leave Jerash we drive to Mount Nebo for a spectacular view where Moses viewed the “promised land”, the land of Caanan, before his death. We continue to Madaba the city of Mosaics. Dinner and overnight will be in the beautiful city of Amman (ancient Philadelphia) .. Dinner and overnight at our hotel in Amman. (B,D)


Today we drive south for a full day trip to Petra to explore, The Rose-Red City”. This site is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Petra is more than 2,000 years old. This place that dominated the trade routes was completely lost to the west by the 16th century and remained that way for 300 years. In 1812 it was “rediscovered”. Petra is carved out of solid rock deep inside a narrow gorge. We will see the Palace Tomb, Monastery, and Treasury to name a few. The Apostle Paul is thought to have spent time here following his conversion. The movie Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade was filmed here. Return to Amman for dinner and overnight. (B,D)


We start our way back to the USA by transferring to the Amman international airport airport for our flight home, arriving the same day.
